Much of the Telecom Industry\u2019s recent focus has been placed on CEM and related analytics.\u00a0 Certainly, customer acquisition and retention programs are critical as these drive revenue.\u00a0\u00a0 Network augments and migrations to new technologies are an unavoidable \u201cprice to pay\u201d and the lion\u2019s share of management\u2019s attention is placed on squeezing as much revenue traffic onto pipes and spectrum as possible.<\/p>\n

ERPs are important for managing vendor relationships, driving supply chain process and tracking warehouse inventory. Once an asset leaves the warehouse, responsibility for tracking and managing the asset typically shifts to technical OSS\u2019s (e.g. Network Inventory).\u00a0 Data quality within technical OSS\u2019s is notoriously poor.\u00a0 As a result, assets can become stranded, under-utilized and\/or lost.\u00a0\u00a0 Consequently, Operators spend Capex that could otherwise be avoided if existing assets were effectively harvested and redeployed.<\/p>\n
